The use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is highly prevalent among adults with chronic conditions [1–3].In 2002, an estimated 42% to 60% of adults with the most common chronic physical conditions used CAM .Adults with chronic physical conditions such as cancer and arthritis may use CAM to relieve illness-related symptoms, reduce stress, reduce pain intensity, enhance well-being, and improve the level of activity [6–8].
